May 1

Today was our "Welcome to the World" party for Luke.


Jeanette (Luke's great-grandmother's cousin and best friend) and Luke hit it right off.


It was a beautiful day for a party.


Bill and Mary are experienced grandparents.


Mommy and Luke enjoyed spending time with Colleen and Teagan.


Owen loved the whipped cream from the ice cream sundae bar we served.

Owen is three and a half years old today!


Owen the naturalist studies bugs in the Urban Field Station set up in the garden of the American Philosophical Society.


Owen chose some leaves and made sunprints, which he watched develop slowly in a pan of water.


It was fun to make a picture with bright stamps to press and colored pencils to use just as Owen chose.

Owen lined up some water balloons to prepare for an ambush.


Uncle Chris was Owen's accomplice.

Owen and Gran made a delicious strawberry shortcake for Mommy's birthday.

Luke is really starting to enjoy spending time with Owen.
